the story
In this clean-lined, newly built modern house, the clients were free to indulge a previously unrequited love of mid-century modern furnishings. They are building their art collection as well to take advantage of the gallery-like spaces. A mix of contemporary classics in soft natural hues suits the relaxed lifestyle of this young family. Custom cabinetry including a built-in desk, file drawers and bookshelves was created for a writer's office. A special door of translucent green resin slides down to hide creative clutter when there's a party. The lower floor was remodeled to include another office/guest room, and a family room for games and movies.
